How it works with your grocery store

Grocery Fresh Chef doesn't sell groceries itself — it builds your meal plan around real sale prices, then pushes the ingredients straight into your cart at your own local Kroger-family store. Here's exactly what that connection is, and what you need to set up first if you're new to shopping with one of these stores online.

1 Create an account with your store

All of the stores below are part of the Kroger family — different names, same parent company, same rewards ecosystem. If you don't already shop online with your local one, start by creating a free account directly on its own site. Each link below goes straight to that store's homepage, where "Sign In" or "Create Account" is always one click away.

Don't see your store listed, or not sure which banner is local to you? Just search your store's name — it's almost certainly one of these seventeen.

2 Join the loyalty program

Once you have an account, look for that store's rewards or loyalty program (Kroger calls it a Shopper's Card / Kroger Plus Card; other banners have their own name for the same thing) and add it to your account if you haven't already. This step matters — the deepest sale prices at these stores are reserved for loyalty-program members, and those are exactly the prices Grocery Fresh Chef builds your meal plan around. Skipping it means some of the "sale" prices we show may not apply at checkout.

Many of these stores also partner with Instacart for same-day delivery or pickup, if getting to the store yourself isn't convenient. That's a separate, optional service run by Instacart, not by us or by the store directly — Grocery Fresh Chef pushes ingredients to your store's own cart, and from there you choose however you'd normally check out, including delivery through Instacart if your store offers it.

3 Connect your account to Grocery Fresh Chef

With your store account (and ideally its loyalty program) set up, you're ready to connect. When you build your first meal plan and go to add it to your cart, Grocery Fresh Chef will ask you to sign in — this happens entirely on your store's own login page, not ours, so we never see or store your password.

• One connection covers whichever Kroger-family store is local to you — there's nothing separate to set up per banner.
• Once connected, every meal plan's ingredients get added directly to your real cart at that store, automatically.
• You can disconnect at any time from your store account's own settings — we only ever have access you've explicitly granted.
